When Danielle comes out to best friend Faygan by confessing that her new beau is 'Sam' aka Samantha, Faygan is compelled to ask, "Do you love her?" Danielle replies, "She reminds me of you," thus hinting at the presence of long submerged feelings. At the same time, Danielle must deal with the complexities of coming out to her family. Her sister Kelly is unwilling to believe that Danielle's announcement is anything but an attempt to gain attention. Meanwhile, Faygan, a playwright in the midst of launching a new play, turns to her friend Jaime for support. Over wine and conversation, Jamie and Faygan begin their own intimate friendship. Against the backdrop of the theater, the two pairs of lovers endure mounting drama. As Danielle contends with her lover's ex-girlfriend, Faygan begins to realize she may have become intimate with the wrong friend.
