Set in the MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM universe, Universal Century 223, G-SAVIOUR is the first live action GUNDAM project, a feature film that debuted on Japanese television in 2000. Taking place seventy years after the defeat of the Zanscare Empire, G-SAVIOUR finds the Federation replaced by the Congress of the Settlement Nations, who are, unfortunately, no more just than the supremely corrupt Federation. The film begins as a Congress officer, Mark Carran, catches some space separatists trying to steal information from a Congress agricultural resource center. Carran learns from these off-worlders that Congress is starving the colonists on Gaea and he soon decides to defect and help Gaea launch an attack that will hopefully provide them with the means to produce food.
