Over their heads in debt, secretary Amanda and her boyfriend Alan plot to steal a large sum of money from Amanda's boss Sully. Blowing all $25,000 in a gamble at the racetrack, Amanda makes one last attempt to raise the money she needs by visiting her wealthy, estranged grandfather Nathan. Suffering from heart disease, Nathan agrees to give Amanda the money, but asks her to take him on one final fishing trip to Redemption, Montana. After spending this time with her grandfather, Amanda begins to realize the error of her greedy ways and struggles to make peace with her past and her God.
