Berke, a high school basketball star with big expectations for his senior year, gets a shock when his sweetheart, Allison, dumps him right before classes begin. To add to his distress, she starts going out with the new kid on the block. Berke becomes desperate over losing Allison, and will do just about anything to win her back. He then decides to quit the basketball team and join Allison in a production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" to weave himself back into her life--that is, if he can make it past auditions. So what if he can't sing: he's going to need a little help from the right person, Kelly, a young woman who might also help him get over it...
