A tale set in modern-day Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Lanisha, Maria and Joycelyn are long-time friends and classmates facing the brink of adulthood. This trio has one very strong tie in common: they are talented, hard-working members of their school's highly regarded marching band. During the closing weeks of summer, the small moments and dramas that mean nothing and everything to young girls navigating their way into adulthood start to accumulate as the girls and their friendships begin to change forever.
