Set against the turbulent backdrop of Belfast in the 1980s, two fellow barbers Colm, a Catholic and George, a Protestant, form an unlikely partnership to corner the toupee market in Northern Ireland. Both slackers, the duo land themselves in a get-rich-quick scheme of selling hair pieces, but soon find themselves in trouble when 'Toupee or Not Toupee', a rival hairpiece company, gets a jump on the competition. More serious problems ensue when the fired up slackers go on the offensive and dupe an IRA soldier, who then suspects them of being undercover British agents.
