Y is an 18-year-old high school student intent on losing her virginity before graduation. J is a reputable married sculptor who Y calls one day behind the back of her best friend Woori, who is too shy to act on her crush on J. With their clandestine first meeting, where Y is willing to be deflowered by J in a rural "love hotel", the two lovers embark on a sexual odyssey toward the realms of obsession and sadomasochism. With every subsequent tryst, their desire for each other drives them further into a relationship that revolves around pain, pleasure and unavoidable lies. Y is at first the supplicant to J's increasingly perverse forms of sexual activity. After he returns from three-month stay in Paris with his wife, Y becomes the dominant force, flagellating J with newfound enthusiasm. Y's brother learns of the affair and sets fire to J's house, the aftermath that follows turns the couple into sexual vagrants, with both having to live on borrowed cash to maintain their hedonistic lifestyle.
