Critical Consensus
Critics Reviews Average Grade:   N/A
Empire Online,
(3 out of 5 stars) "...there is tendency to mistake sentimentality for compassion and overbaked melodrama for simmering domestic drama." Full Review...
Flick Filosopher: Small Betrayals,
"Based on the award-winning novel by Rohinton Mistry, 'Such a Long Journey' is an oddball combination of domestic drama and black comedy with a touch of the crime caper, but it's a highly satisfying one." Full Review...
James Berardinelli,
(3 out of 4 stars) "'Such a Long Journey,' set in Bombay, India during 1971 and based on the novel by Rohinton Mistry, is a story of healing and reconciliation." Full Review...
Orlando Weekly Movies,
(3 out of 5 stars) "A strong devotion to South Asian cinema is required to make it through 'Such a Long Journey,' a British-Canadian co-production that lines up some of Bombay's leading thespians and then sets them off on a narrative path to nowhere in particular." Full Review...
