The story of seven very busy young professional friends who have forged more intimate relationships with their computers and telephones than with each other. In this spoof on life and love in the age of call waiting, people fall in love, get pregnant, fall out of love, and die without ever getting off the phone. All seven are single and comfortably self-absorbed, until a quirky and extremely pregnant stranger named Denise calls out of the blue to thank her sperm donor, and sends the entire group into a tailspin.
