BAOH, the code name given to a secret genetic experiment financed by the mysterious Doress corporation, is a parasite designed to make its host possess supernatural powers and to be nearly immortal. To test it, Dr. Kasuminome, the head of the project, selects a hapless young man named Ikuroo, who is baffled by his tendency to turn into a superbeast when faced with a threatening situation. He finds comfort with a young psychic girl, Sumire, who is also a Doress test subject. Together, the two escape their captors and attempt to use their powers to elude Dr. Kasuminome and his army of superbeings.
