An omnibus film inspired by three different Edgar Allen Poe stories, each filmed in a week. The first is âMorella" in which a womanâs vengeful spirit returns from the grave to possess her daughter. The second, âThe Black Catâ, is a tale of a wine connoisseur who seals his wife and her lover in a wall, only to be foiled by the wailing cat mistakenly left with them. And the final one, âThe Facts in the Case of M. Valdemarâ, features a terminally ill man who is kept alive in a hypnotic state by a devious doctor.
