Updated version of Howard Hawks' 1940 film "His Girl Friday" and Lewis Milestone's 1931 film "The Front Page" which were based on the Hecht-MacArthur play "The Front Page." In this version, the story focuses on a career television news anchorwoman, fed up with having no social life, preparing to marry a dull millionaire she met on vacation.
