In this third remake of Kurasawa's THE SEVEN SAMURAI, the "seven" gunslingers free Mexican political prisoners, trains them as warriors and fights with them in an attack upon a Mexican fortress in an attempt to free a revolutionary leader. Filmed in Panavision with an Elmer Bernstein score, the film gives nothing new but is highly entertaining and spawned a sequel, THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN RIDE!
