A movie not to miss? Add to My Movies!   "Southern Heart" is set in the foothills of northern Alabama in the town of Mentone. It is the story of a young executive, Collins Jacobs, sent from New York to aquire a parcel of land for his family's company to strip mine for the rich coal reserves. Upon arriving, the executive learns that the land is adjacent to a camp for mentally and physically challenged people that is run by the fiesty Tommy Owen. Not wanting for the local citizens to learn of his intent, Collin spends a couple of days in the community where he, for the first time, sees the hearts of the locals and the heart of Tommy. After a brief romance, Collin must confront Tommy of his intentions. She, of course, feels that she has been used and sends Collin packing. Genres: Romance Running Time: 1 hr. 52 min.
