The story is chilling, thought provoking and beautifully put together by Terry Gilliam. Though inspired by a 1960s short film, the movie is strikingly original and takes its audience into a whole new world of creativity and flat out exciting film making. Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt are in pure form here, and I won't hesitate to say it is probably the best acting Willis has ever done.
12 Monkeys' unique style and gutsy moves make it even more superb; and the edge of your seat feeling that I desire each time I see a movie like this was fulfilled better than being a kid in a candy store. And anyone is sure to marvel at its spectacular final sequence. I don't know how else to say this. If Blade Runner (one of my all time favorite films) is the standard for Sci-Fi Film Noir, this movie edges closer than any other film I've seen in a long time. Grade: A
