My Week with Marilyn R for for some language. Colin Clark met Marilyn Monroe while working as a young assistant on Laurence Olivier's "The Prince and the Showgirl." When Marilyn experienced emotional difficulties during shooting, the 23-year-old third assistant director came to her aid and romance developed. But one week of honesty and fun was not enough to save the doomed star from self-destruction. More » Starring: Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Julia Ormond, Dougray Scott

The story, as improbable as it may sound, is based on true events. The source material is a memoir written by a British writer-filmmaker who died in 2002.

    Bet You Didn't Know

Michelle Williams came close to pulling a "Good Will Hunting" maneuver in 1997, when she was only seventeen years old. She wrote a screenplay called "Don't Blink" with some friends to satisfy her desire for meatier roles, and managed to sell the script. Alas, the movie never made it to screen, but Williams obviously no longer needs the career boost!

Michelle is homely...and I mean homely. Marilyn Monroe was sexy & had a pretty face. No confusion here. Michelle doesn't look like Marilyn at all. It's an insult to Marilyn.

there is no one on earth now that looks ,acts behaves, has that kind of sex apeal. hollywood keeps trying. but, the thing is she had emotional problems .in those days mental illness was not dealt with like it is now,its nothing to be ashamed of. she was trying to mask it. and that all caused her unike personality and sex apeal.hollywood gave her great patience because they new ,they probly refered to her as crazy! but gatered to her because she was a money maker and loved. by everyone .(her fanes ).
