What's The Story

A dog's life is actually not half bad, or at least it isn't for Bolt, star of a hit TV show. He's spent all his days on a TV set, portraying a canine superhero alongside his costar and owner, Penny. Bolt is convinced that his superpowers are real, but when he accidentally gets shipped to New York, he's in for a rude awakening. Only with the help of his new sidekicks -- Mittens the cat and Rhino the hamster -- will Bolt be able to discover the true power within himself and find his way back home.

Three Good Reasons

  • 1The legendary John Travolta's smug-yet-earnest voice is perfect for the clueless canine conqueror, and "tween queen" Miley Cyrus voices his best friend Penny.
  • 2The holidays are all about bringing family together, and this clever, colorful movie has something to capture the interest of kids, teenagers, and adults alike.
  • 3Mark Walton, a longtime Disney animator, voiced Rhino the hamster on the temporary tracks but never expected to land the part. Check out the movie to find out why he won the role of the fearless furball.

Bet You Didn't Know

Bolt is an American White Shepherd. The little-known breed came to be when the AKC ruled white German Shepherds out of the show ring, but has since developed its own personality and following.
