What's The Story
You think you've got dismal career choices upon graduating from college? Try being a bee: it's pretty much the honey factory or nothing. But young Barry B. Benson has a different idea. He wants to get out of the hive and explore the world. And when he does, he is shocked to learn that all this honey his fellow bees make gets eaten by humans. There ought to be a law! Or at least, a lawsuit. Barry leads the charge to sue all humans for stealing the bees' honey. Victory, though, has some unexpected consequences, and leads to a frantic and heroic effort to put things right again.
Three Good Reasons
- 1Jerry Seinfeld makes his first major splash into feature films, and he's going full-out -- as actor, co-writer, and producer.
- 2Two co-writers, Spike Feresten and Andy Robin, wrote some of the funniest episodes of "Seinfeld," including "The Junior Mint."
- 3With a cast that includes Annette Bening, Chris Rock, Renee Zellweger, John Goodman, and Oprah Winfrey, everyone in your family will find something to love.
Bet You Didn't Know
Patrick Warburton and Barry Levinson each voice a role in the film. Warburton, of course, played Puddy on "Seinfeld," but also voiced Superman in a series of American Express commercials starring Seinfeld and directed by Levinson.
