Synopsis:
Mutants continue to struggle inside a society that fears and distrusts them. Their cause becomes dire following an attack by a mysterious assailant with extraordinary abilities. The shocking attack renews an old political and public outcry, lending force to an anti-mutant movement now led by William Stryker, an Army commander rumored to have once experimented on mutants. Stryker's mutant "work" is somehow tied to a forgotten past that Wolverine is busy searching for as Stryker launches his anti-mutant program with an attack on Xavier's mansion.
