The Inside Scoop on all of this Summer's Most Anticipated Movies

Men in Black II (Opens July 3)
The latest trailer debuted in theaters with "Spider-Man", and each
consecutive glimpse I get of this movie from Sony makes my opinion of it get
rosier and rosier. I thought the first one was merely "alright", but this
sequel seems to possibly be correcting whatever I didn't like about the
first movie, with more interesting aliens (and more of them), and most
importantly, funnier jokes. Star Will Smith might just be able to make "new
hotness" the next big catchphrase. Read Greg's Preview

Halloween:
Resurrection (Opens July 12)
The masked psychopathic maniac that will never die (the one that isn't
Jason, that is) returns in another entry of a franchise that won't die.
That's right, it's Michael Myers, not to be confused with Mike Myers, who
stars as Austin Powers two weeks later. The Energizer bunny of eerily
looming murderers, the William-Shatner-mask wearing looney returns to his
family's house as the latest group of kids ages just old enough to be
eligible for his unique brand systematic stalking and mutilating goes there
to spend the night as part of an Internet promotional campaign. Um, I think
I'll stick with those "slap the monkey" ads. Read Greg's Preview

Reign of Fire (Opens July 12)
Dragons and tanks. That's all you really need, isn't it? To make it even
better, how about dragons, tanks and Apache helicopters? The director of the
X-Files movie takes everything we know about dragons, and throws it in a
post-modern blender, with scientific reasons for the things dragons are able
to do (and why they do them). All that being so, the most important thing we
need to know about this action extravaganza starring Matthew McConaughey
(Frailty) and Christian Bale (American Psycho) is that it promises to show
us what happens when dozens of big, powerful dragons take on the best that
the U.S. millitary has to offer them. This one looks like a fire-breathing
hoot.

Road to Perdition (Opens July 12)
DreamWorks presents a "Lone Wolf and Cub"-style 1920's gangster-era tale of
an assassin, played by Tom Hanks, and his son, directed by Sam Mendes, as
his sophomore effort, after the Oscar-winning debut of "American Beauty".
In this era in which studios often position their best movies in December so
they can be noticed most easily by the Academy, it's unusual for a film with
these sort of credentials to be released in the summer, although DreamWorks
has done this effectively in the recent past, with Saving Private Ryan and
Gladiator. At the same time, this is also the third movie to be released
this summer that's based on a comic book (well, actually, a graphic novel).

Austin Powers in Goldmember (Opens July 26)
Just a week after "Michael Myers" returns to theaters in "Halloween:
Resurrection", comedian Mike Myers and his reliable troupe of Austin Powers
players take us on a gold-plated trip to the 1970's, as it happened in that
certain funky, satiric way that all decades seem to be interpreted in the
Austin Powers series. Beyonce Knowles, of Destiny's Child, stars as Austin's
afro-sporting Foxxy Cleopatra, with Academy Award-winner Michael Caine
putting in an appearance as Austin's dad. Read Greg's Preview
