'Friends' beauty Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce from Brad Pitt Friday, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple - who announced their breakup on January 7 - were married on July 29 2000 but were together a total of seven years.

Aniston, 35, who is being represented by Beverly Hills attorney Robert S. Kaufman - says in court papers that the actual date of separation is still to be determined. The actress stated that there are "community and quasi community assets and obligations" that will need to be divided. She is not asking for spousal support but she is asking that Pitt, 41, pay her attorney fees.

Aniston has also asked that her maiden name, Jennifer Joanna Aniston be restored.
