Synopsis:
Jay Berman (Christopher Guest) directs his first independent film "Home for Purim," a period drama about a Southern Jewish family. When rumors begin circulating that the film's stars--Marilyn Hack (Catherine O'Hara), Victor Allan Miller (Harry Shearer), and Callie Webb (Parker Posey)--are potential Oscar nominees, a rumble of excitement rattles the cast. As the hopeful "Purim" creative team careens toward the upcoming award season, tenuous relationships and brittle dreams play out in unexpected ways.
