| Catwoman in the Comics |
| One of Batman's most enduring foes, Catwoman is a master thief with a mask, a whip, and a conscience. Not evil as much as self-serving, she eschews violence and never puts bystanders at risk. She and Batman consistently battle their romantic feelings for each other, which are at odds with their chosen occupations. On her own, Catwoman will protect the innocent and dish out her own brand of girl-power, especially if there's profit in it. |
| Changes for the Screen |
| • |
In "Batman Returns," Catwoman had a slightly more surreal edge - she literally had nine lives. |
| • |
In the newest installment, Patience Philips is resuscitated by a mystical feline to become the latest incarnation of an ancient Egyptian cat spirit. |
| • |
This re-imagined version takes place in Lake City, not Gotham, and the Caped Crusader is nowhere to be found. |
