After nearly 18 months of waiting, Twi-hards everywhere finally have a chance to see "Breaking Dawn, Part 1." Fans waited for days to catch a glimpse of the cast of the movie last Monday during the black carpet premiere, hosted by Yahoo! This weekend, the movie earned over 137 million at the box office. So what did Twilight Fans think of "Breaking Dawn"? We perused some of the finest fan sites around to find out:
Lori Joffs of "The Twilight Lexicon was clearly impressed with the movie. "Over all, I really enjoyed the film. I found myself laughing out loud at several moments and nearly cried at others. I know there were some things that I missed in my first viewing, so I'm excited to see it again and take it all in. It is very true to the book, which as an original fan of the book I appreciate so much! Thank you, Bill Condon, for staying true to the story and for finding realism in something so heavily embedded in fantasy. And thank you to the cast for going to those dark places and bringing this whole series to life. With Part 1 being this good, I find it difficult to believe we have to wait a whole year for Part 2!"
Here's what Amanda Bell of the 'Twilight Examiner' has to say: "After the black carpet premiere, I was fortunate enough to be able to watch "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" for the first time last night, and the word that keeps coming to mind to describe it is 'amazing.'"
Krystal McLean, who writes for "Bella's Diary," enthused: "I left Breaking Dawn part 1 with emotional whiplash: I laughed, I teared up, I melted, I cringed, I got goosebumps and even had my jaw drop a couple of times. I believe that Bill Condon really took Twilight fans wants into consideration while creating this and I can't wait to see what he has in store for Breaking Dawn Part 2!"
And Tracy Farrell of "Twlightish" was similarly impressed"Out of all the Twilight films, "Breaking Dawn" has the best directing and acting.... You'll be hard pressed to find a fan that doesn't rank "Breaking Dawn" right up there with Catherine Hardwicke's original Twilight."
