Pick of the Week
The classic 1984 tale of teenage rebellion gets a modern update, with newcomer Kenny Wormald stepping into the role of Ren MacCormack. The big city teen is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock: the local councilmen, led by hard-line minister Reverend Shaw Moore, have outlawed loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town's youth and falling in love with the minister's troubled daughter Ariel in the process.
