‘The Son of No One’ Could Use a Webmaster, Stat

We've been a little obsessed with films' "official" Web sites ever since the old one for "Space Jam" was dug up last year. There are still some pretty great old ones out there, including "Requiem for a Dream"'s site, which doesn't even feel that dated, even though it's 11 years old. In fact, it feels more updated than the site for "The Son of No One," which is a problem, considering that film opens in three days.

Far be it from us to step in and tell the nation's studio webmasters how they should or should not do their jobs, BUT: We have a few recommendations for whoever has the login for "The Son of No One"'s Website. Just a little free advice from an Internet old timer. PRO TIPS!

1. If you are going to put your film's poster on the front of your site, you should probably use the new poster, not the one the studio scrapped months ago.

2. The button for PRESS on your site probably shouldn't automatically download a ZIP file to the users' desktop. (Automatically downloads: A bit spammy!) And if it does automatically download a ZIP file to a desktop, that ZIP file should at least work. Yours doesn't.

3. Your Facebook "Like" button does not work.

4. Your Twitter button makes us feel bad for poor @brandonmbean, who is apparently the only person who has used it.

5. So, your movie is opening in three days. We thought we'd buy a ticket, so we went to "Showtimes." It said "COMING SOON." We assume that means very soon.

We are sure these are just normal Website oversights and not signs that Anchor Bay is abandoning the movie because of its horrid reviews. This first consultation is on the house, but next time, we charge by the hour.
