    Jonah Hill’s Secret to Slimness

It's no secret that actor Jonah Hill has lost a lot of weight over the past year. Until now, most people believed his "Moneyball" co-star Brad Pitt had something to do with Hill's suddenly svelte look. Not so.

Hill, whose work in "Moneyball" earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, recently spoke with ABC News. Apparently, he lost weight mainly by eating sushi. "It was just mostly diet," Hill said. "I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something, but it was, unfortunately, I went to see a nutritionist, and he told me what to eat to change my habits and stuff."

An article in the U.K.'s Daily Mail points out that many people had speculated that Pitt's influence was what inspired Hill to shed the pounds.

Hill, who was known for being a comic actor prior to "Moneyball," explained that his weight loss was also a function of his wanting to get more serious roles in his career. "I just had a moment in my life where I said I wanted to become a man," Hill said.

You can watch Jonah Hill and dozens more A-listers at the Oscars on February 26 on ABC.

Can't we just congratulate a fellow human being on getting into shape? He knew he had a problem and he tackled it. That is great!

There are billboards all over LA. You can not lose weight like that by just eating better. Lots of exercise for over a year would do it not a couple months

If people just go to the gym and stop making excuses. I like it when people say they don't have time but yet they can read and post on facebook all day! I promise you, you can eat whatever you want (there is no magic food diet) as long as you counter what you take in with what you do at the gym you will see results! I've been in the gym for over ten years while eating whatever I want with a six pack to show for it. I'am not trying to be cocky or anything but I just get tired of people making excuses.

Yes, some fat people have thyroid problems or gland disorder. But most of them have bad habits and need to take control of their lives.

I gained 10 pounds by drinking sodas, sugar added coffee and tea, dressing drenched salad, and eating out. Planning on going back to eating bananas, baked potatoes(without stuffs), boiled eggs, steamed rice and sea weed. Eating out is expensive because now I have to work out everyday until I can fit in my jeans.

There are no secrets to weight loss, diet and exercise, diet and exercise. Most people want the easy way out, diet and exercise, diet and exercise. Nothing worth having comes easy. Diet and exercise, diet and exercise.

did he really just stop eating so much crap and exercised a bit?

It always amazes me when people are shocked to find out that a change in diet leads to weight loss. It is because everyone just wants a quick, easy result without actually changing life habits. Weight loss is not easy, that is why so many people give up. Nutritionists definitely can work wonders if you follow their plans, and I agree with Hattie D. that it is a #$%$ shame that insurance companies don't cover them.

Why is this important? I have a friend who lost over 100 pounds, but she's not famous and it still worked. If this guys got some secret tell him to write a book. There are no secrets to weight loss, diet and exercise fool - Mr. T
