YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

Clooney Has a Big Prank Ready for Pitt

Photo by Anthony Behar/BravoGeorge Clooney is a respected actor, director, and activist. But he's also a born prankster. The star of "The Descendants" recently visited "Inside the Actors Studio," where he dished about his plans for pulling one over on his good friend and rival Brad Pitt.

In the clip, an audience member asks Clooney about some of his favorite pranks that he's pulled. Clooney says, "I'm a big believer in making (movie) sets fun ... I have done some horrible things to people. Truly, truly horrible. I'm working on one now for Brad Pitt. It might end his career." Clooney then added, "I owe him, so I'm getting him."

What did Pitt do to inspire such a revenge? We're not sure if this is the reason, but according to Matt Damon, while on the set of "Ocean's Twelve," Pitt constructed a fake memo and gave it to the Italian crew. The memoinstructed the crew not to look Clooney in the eye and only call him "Danny" or "Mr. Ocean." Clooney was apparently none too pleased.

Clooney's love of pranks goes way back. As the New York Post explains, the Oscar winner placed plants in front of Julia Roberts's trailer door on the set of "Ocean's Eleven" so she couldn't exit. He arranged for a tailor to secretly take in Matt Damon's pants every day while Damon was trying to lose weight for a role. "He couldn't understand how he seemed to be gaining weight while he was trying so hard to lose it," Clooney explained.

He also once told his friend, actor Richard Kind, that he was studying art. Clooney found a horrible-looking painting in the trash and told Kind that he'd painted it. "And then for his 40th birthday I gave him this horrible painting. He had to hang it on his wall, [it was by] his best friend! And for years people would come over -- everyone else knew it was out of the trash -- and go, 'That is a beautiful painting.'"

The episode of "Inside the Actors Studio" will air January 31.

Not like Brad Pitt will be reading Yahoo news, or watching a show that Clooney is on. So he may not be worried about it at all. But who knows, PR reps could tell him , Hey Bra, Clooney may be up to something.

Here's a little hint - a prank might work better if you don't advertise it ahead of time.

BJ did this to Hawkeye in MASH years ago. Hawkeye was so convinced BJ had a real big practical joke up his sleave that he made himself crazy trying to figure out what it was going to be and head him off at the pass. Only to find out that the joke was making him crazy thinking there would be a big prank. Mind #$%$ is his prank...,

LOL That's the kind of stuff I'd do if I were in the same position. I like the painting and the pants prank. Hilarious.

I used to like George Clooney but not anymore. The older he gets, the more immature he acts. At 50 he is past his prime for pranks. It is about time he changed girl friends. He has had this one for a few months now. I hope he loses the Oscar to Brad or anybody.

My father had a friend that played a practical joke on a co-worker in the Navy. He would send this guy a x-mass card of a fictional family with a full page yearly update of their lives. The guy that got the card & letter would all year long rack his memory who these people were commenting to his co-workers.
The gag ran for years.....apparently paid off in dividends.

The one thing about playing a prank on others is it makes you aware that one is eventually going to be played on you!

Is it possible that this is the joke? Get Mr. Pitt soo worked up about the potential joke that he makes a fool of himself thinking that every little thing is a joke and really isn't? Like the time I told my little brother I was going to get him in his sleep and he stayed up all night waiting for me to come do something to him while I had the best night's sleep of my life?

Obviously YAHOO is a paid PR rep for some actors. How else to explain an advertised, non-secret "prank" that is run as a news item for some 10 days? One can only guess that Clooney's & Pitt's careers aren't doing quite as well as they used to.

Some pranks are funny but some people's pranks can be mean. I do like the one he did to Matt Damon even if it was kind of mean.

As Clooney said , he thinks you should have fun while doing these movies. I think some of these are pretty good fun stuff and everyone should be amused by them. Keep it up, have fun, enjoy what you do
