I have tried to watch several Tyler Perry's movies and never even finish watching them. Seems like he is a great guy but his movies and tv shows from the nerdy over the top slapstick guys to the overangry women are SO tired and cliche and stereotypes. Makes me kind of ashamed of him.

Tyler Perry’s movies get sillier every year. Tyler Perry's "Madea's Big Happy Family" was as silly as you can get a movie to be. It looked like something he put together in 20 minutes; the movie was embarrassing to watch. Tyler Perry wants you to think that all black people are silly, Ghetto like, stupid, retards with no class whatsoever. He just puts out these nonsensical movies every year just to make quick buck.

You do not know what you are talking about. Tyler Perry targets his audience brilliantly and stays true to that brand. That is why every one of his movies premiere either first or second at the box office.

Food for thought, most of his target market thinks his movies are getting sillier by the day. I agree with Chan his movies are embarrassing to watch - very actually. I do think he is talented but he can do better writing if he puts plenty thought in it - Dairy of a Mad Black woman is an example of brillient writing - he developed his characters beautifully. Even Madea was not so over the top.

thats why he's making tons of money.there are no sterotipical blacks,he's portraying black folks as we are, fun loving and diverse. but of course you would have to be poor at one time to understand the humor

I can't stand Tyler Perry, his campy movies and tacky tv shows.

Tyler Perry has lost a big following after putting tramp Kim K in his other movie & being so arrogant about refusing to remove her from the cast. I will really be interested to see if he get much support. I personally won't support him anymore.

Now you see how nonwhites feel when we are subjected to constant barrages of whites on TV and at movies. Borring, boring, boring. Tyler Perry is a God-sent to people of color.

Not all people of colour Food For Thought. If the concept is that you're supposed to see yourself, your family or someone you know in his productions then either something's wrong with me, my family and everyone I know, or all of you who think he's a God-sent [sic] and can see yourselves or relate are/only know one type of people.

For me it's not black and white, it's quality and content. He does neither well enough for me to watch.
