Rooney Mara: The Girl With the Edgy Style

Photo by Anita Bugge/Wireimage.comThe "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" star has been the girl who rules the red carpet. In keeping with Rooney Mara's role as the punk hacker Lisbeth Salander, the actress has favored an edgy look as she trots the globe with co-star Daniel Craig to promote the movie.

The star rocked the Berlin premiere in a two-piece Miu Miu outfit that gave off a goth-surfer vibe. The svelte, pale Mara looked chic in a tummy-baring, sleeveless half-shirt paired with a sedate, knee-length skirt and high-heeled, patent leather sandals.

The 26-year-old has grabbed notice for her unconventional style that doesn't play it safe. Nicole Laporte, writing for the New York Times, noted that her daring appearances include "bumper bangs, black lipstick and revealing cutout dresses."

This doesn't seem to be a bad thing: Fashion bible Vogue featured the red carpet trendsetter on the cover of its November issue.

By Todd Cunningham LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - "Iron Man 3" was soaring past $1 billion at the worldwide box office Thursday, in a display of world domination that would make one of Marvel's super villains proud. The box-office bounty - roughly $700 million from abroad and $300 million domestically - is a major triumph for Disney, which bet big on comic book superheroes when it bought Marvel Studios for $4 billion in 2009.
