Naturally, when the constant co-stars linked up at the Palm Springs International Film Festival over the weekend on Saturday, we couldn't help but notice how time has been on their side. Gere, 63, and Lane, 47, still look, dare we say, hot!
Lane attended the gala to honor her often-onscreen leading man, presenting the film fest's Chairman’s Award to Gere.
And no, Lane's hubby Josh Brolin wasn't there as he was doing press for his upcoming film "Gangster Squad" in Beverly Hills that day. "[Brolin] is actually with my wife [actress Carey Lowell] tonight, so everything's fine," Gere joked. "We have an arrangement... It's all good," Lane chimed in, adding to the joke.
Lane wore an orchid-colored lace cocktail dress while Gere looked dapper in a classy black suit with a long black necktie.
The two first starred together in "The Cotton Club" in 1984, then years later took leading roles in "Unfaithful" in 2002 -- which earned Lane her first Oscar nomination. Just a few years after that, in 2008, the two starred together yet again in the romantic drama "Nights in Rodanthe."
The pair have often spoken about their onscreen chemistry. "We're stronger together than [apart] if we're working on the same story," Lane has said. "We've been through the fire three times, so the trust level is extremely high," Gere added in the same interview.
