Who is going to play Christian Grey? It looks like Stephen Amell knows a bit more about that than we do.

With a film version of E.L. James' sexy best seller "50 Shades Of Grey" in development at Universal, fan have been spending a lot of time speculating who will star in the steamy drama. And while Emma Watson has been getting just plain ornery about reports she'll be playing Anastasia Steele, another actor has just dropped some pretty serious hints that he's in the running to play the mysterious Christian Grey.

As movies are increasingly going digital, from production to projection, we're seeing a wave of nostalgia for the physical medium of film. Last year, a French silent movie, "The Artist," vied for the Best Picture Oscar with "Hugo," a drama about filmmaking pioneer George Méliès. This year saw the release of Miguel Gomes's "Tabu," a festival fave coming from Portugal that was shot in part with 16 mm cameras without sync sound. And coming out this month is"Blancanieves," a silent movie from Spain. Like "The Artist," this movie is a gorgeously shot homage to early cinema complete with black-and-white photography, iris shoots, and intertitles. Unlike "The Artist," which is so ingratiating that it becomes irritating, "Blancanieves" is a strange, dark work that doesn't quite have a fairy-tale ending.

Universal Pictures has had a remake of the 1981 teen romance "Endless Love" in development for months, and on Thursday it was revealed that the studio has tapped Pettyfer and Wilde to play the story's star-crossed lovers.

Good news, Autobot fans! "Transformers 4" is a go, and word has been leaked on what will be happening in the next installment of the franchise. The source? The good people at the Michigan Film Office.

The State of Michigan offers tax incentives and some degree of official cooperation to deserving filmmakers who come to the Mitten State to make movies. On Wednesday, the Michigan Film Office's official website not only broke the news that Michael Bay will be shooting the next "Transformers" picture in the Detroit area (as he did with the first film in the series in 2007 and "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" in 2011), but offered some clues about what we can expect to see in "Transformers 4." Given that Bay, Hasbro, and Paramount Pictures have been very tight lipped about the story so far (the picture doesn't even have an official title at this time), this comes as a major surprise for fans.
