Bradley Cooper has joined an exclusive but growing group of talented actors that includes Jude Law and Michael Fassbender. But don’t expect Natalie Portman to be happy for him.

The increasingly complicated story behind the production of Portman's upcoming western "Jane Got A Gun" took another turn Wednesday, when Bradley Cooper became the third actor to drop out of the project so far. Cooper was announced to play the villain in the piece on April 5, but less than a month later, the Oscar-nominee has confirmed he has backed out of the role.

Well, at least we now have confirmation on at least one thing about the "Star Trek" sequel: Here there be Klingons, for sure.

Members of arguably the franchise's most popular alien race make fleeting appearances in the third and supposedly final "Distortion" viral video that features the villainous John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch) offering a brief character study of a particular Enterprise crew member -- and an ominous foreshadowing of some life-altering decision they'll have to make in the film. This third video focuses on Uhura (Zoe Saldana), the "soul of the Enterprise" and the "force of compassion holding the entire crew together."

  • Leonardo DiCaprioLeonardo DiCaprio at Wednesday's 'Great Gatsby' premeire in New York (Photo: Getty)F. Scott Fitzgerald was a man who loved style, so it was fitting that some of Hollywood's biggest stars -- including Leonardo DiCaprio -- strolled down a cool black carpet for the world premiere of "The Great Gatsby," Baz Luhrmann's new adaptation of Fitzgerald's classic novel. And the occasion marks two decades since DiCaprio and Luhrmann first worked together on the 1996 adaptation, "Romeo + Juliet."

Some of the stars walking the black carpet on Wednesday may have missed the mark. (We know the '90s are back but what was Tobey Maguire's wife Jennifer Meyer doing in that busy baby doll dress? From the high-necked bright white collar to the scrunched capped sleeves to the sparkles to the flowers - it's a cluster of confusion.)

DiCaprio's on-screen love interest Carey Mulligan arrived in a pretty red dress (though her messy hairdo didn't escape our watchful style eyes!).

"Gatsby" stars Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton, and Amitabh Bachchan were all there, too. (Indian star Bachchan got an especially enthusiastic reception from a handful of Bollywood fans in attendance). Jay-Z, who coordinated the film's soundtrack, was on hand, but his wife Beyonce (who sings on the film's soundtrack) was not. However, fans did get a look at guests Florence Welch (the vocalist with Florence and the Machine) and Michelle Williams, among others.

Daniel Radcliffe showed some real courage standing up to Voldemort in the "Harry Potter" movies, but he's going to be playing a very different sort of tough guy in his next project.

Daniel Radcliffe has been confirmed to star in "Tokyo Vice," a crime thriller based on the true-life American journalist Jake Adelstein. Adelstein was writing for a Tokyo-based newspaper, Yomiuri Shinbun, when he was assigned to cover Tadamasa Goto, one of the highest ranking figures in the Yakuza, the Japanese mafia.

Michael Bay must be impressed with Kelsey Grammer's recent turn as a ruthless politician on "Boss," as he's keeping the villain vibe going by casting the former "Cheers" star as the human heavy in "Transformers 4."

Grammer will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter intelligence officer whom it's probably safe to assume is extremely anti-Autobot. He joins a human cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz. Information on what robots in disguise we'll be seeing in the sequel is still highly classified.

You know how you put the past behind you? By putting good things in your future.

Although Reese Witherspoon’s recent run-in with the law cannot be ignored, it should also be noted that in a celebrity-obsessed culture that seemingly subsists on the embarrassing antics of actresses, 37-year-old Witherspoon has survived nearly half her lifetime in the biz with a nearly untarnished reputation, sans wardrobe malfunctions or politically incorrect statements. As such, after she and husband Jim Toth were arrested and briefly jailed in Atlanta, GA -- an incident for which the actress is “deeply embarrassed” -- Witherspoon is back to doing what she does best: making movies with broad audience appeal and charm.

  • Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-LevittTatum credits Gordon-Levitt, not Fox, with the idea to remake 'Guys and Dolls' (Photo: WireImage/Getty Images)Channing Tatum is setting the record straight when it comes to his involvement with the apparent upcoming movie musical remake of "Guys and Dolls." And he says 20th Century Fox is spinning its own version of the story.

"The studio didn't come up with that idea. Joseph Gordon-Levitt had that idea," the 33-year-old star of the upcoming action film "White House Down" told Yahoo! Movies on Wednesday. "I love that the studio tried to claim it," Tatum said facetiously.

Just days ago, Fox secured the movie rights to the remake and named Tatum and Gordon-Levitt as the top contenders for the leading roles – roles first made famous by Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando.

"But that was all Joe's idea. We've been trying to look for something to do together for a while now," Tatum clarified.
