Downey has signed on for the lead role in "Chef," an independent comedy to be directed by Favreau, who has also written the screenplay and will co-star. In the movie, Downey will play a chef at an upscale restaurant who loses his job and has a falling out with his family. The chef starts over by starting a food truck, and tries to heal his relationship with his family as he puts his career back on track.

Director Baz Luhrmann jazzes up F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic Jazz Age novel as "The Great Gatsby" dances into theaters this weekend. We all know Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan will do their darndest to bring "old sport" back to the popular lexicon, but here are five facts about the film you might not know, but definitely should.

"Fruitvale Station" has already become one of the most acclaimed independent films of 2013, and the new trailer for the film's upcoming theatrical release suggests this is a movie that will be both controversial and an emotionally powerful experience.

"Fruitvale Station" is based on the true-life story of Oscar Grant, a young man from Oakland, California who lost his life at the hands of police on New Year's Day 2009, and the new trailer gives a sympathetic but unglamorous portrait of a man struggling to do the right things in what turn out to be the last hours of his life.

American moxie and folly are submitted to a mad spin cycle in this week's "The Great Gatsby," writer-director Baz Luhrmann's characteristically lush and glitzy adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel -- still an assigned reading classic for high school and college students across the United States, almost a century on. The Australian-born Luhrmann puts an interesting, energetic spin on the material.

His previous collaboration with "Gatsby" star Leonardo DiCaprio, 1996's "Romeo + Juliet," was a swoon-worthy hit with critics and young audiences alike, to the tune of a $147 million worldwide gross. But it's the director's 1992 big screen debut which remains arguably his most enduring treat, if one adjusts to scale for surprise and unexpected vitality. A hyper-stylized, wildly offbeat and culturally specific yet universally appealing comedy, "Strictly Ballroom" is a movie bristling with verve and youthful energy, and it clearly serves as a marker for the sort of sweeping, outsized ambitions that Luhrmann himself has subsequently pursued over the course of his career.

An abandoned film set from "Star Wars Episode IV" remains intact in Tunisia.

Skywalker's home planet of Tatooine was depicted in the film that's now more than 35 years old. And at least part of that sequence was shot in a North African desert.

Flash forward three decades and some change, when New York-based visual artist and filmmaker Rä di Martino stumbled upon the dilapidated film set.
