Henry Cavill in Warner Bros. Pictures' 'Man of Steel'

Over the decades and through its wearer's many incarnations, Superman's costume –with its red cape, blue bodysuit and big 'ol 'S' – has inspired many things: wonder, pride, and, perhaps most of all, hope. But now, upon the release of "Man of Steel," we have a new addition to that list: laughter.

"I think I just giggled. That's what I do when I'm nervous," Amy Adams, who plays Daily Planet reporter Lois, told Yahoo! Movies recently at the "Man of Steel" press junket. After giggling at Henry Cavill in his entire Superman get-up, Adam's second reaction was breathlessness: "He just sort of embodied Superman to me, and it takes your breath away."

We caught up with Cavill, as well as some of his other colleagues as well. All were impressed by the "physical force" of the suit, even one of Superman's enemies.

Red and blue blooded American Hillary Clinton is getting the biopic treatment, but the frontrunner to play the tenacious former First Lady/Secretary of State flies a different flag.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, British actress Carey Mulligan, fresh from he stint as another all-American lady (Daisy Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby”), is the front runner for the leading role in “Rodham.” The film will portray young Hillary in her early years as she begins her political career and falls for a young charmer nicknamed Bill.

While actresses like Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain, and Emma Stone are reportedly being considered as well, Mulligan is the producers’ first choice to play Clinton. She's now meeting director James Ponsoldt to further cement the deal.

Lest anyone cry foul at a Brit playing an American icon, Mulligan’s only continuing a long history of folks from across the pond portraying our real-life leading men and women.

Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck in 20th Century Fox's 'Runner Runner'

In what looks like his juiciest bad guy role yet, Ben Affleck has gone from saving hostages in Iran to feeding folks to crocodiles in Costa Rica.

Affleck oozes charm, excess, and corruption as Ivan Block (great villain name, no?), the wealthy and scruple-less proprietor of an online gambling organization in "Runner Runner," the new thriller/morality play from director Brad Furman (who in 2011 gave us the above-average courtroom drama, "The Lincoln Lawyer") and screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien (who wrote the 1998 analog gambling movie, "Rounders").

The trailer opens with Justin Timberlake as Richie Furst (great name for a naive kid ripe for seduction, no?), a brilliant mathematics student stressing about the $60,000 tuition payment due next week. As the film's initially low-key marketing campaign is starting to kick in, "The Purge" has racked up 172,871 mentions on Twitter as of Tuesday, with that figure jumping from 36,299 to 62,715 between Sunday and Monday. And on Wednesday afternoon, the movie's official Facebook page had over 555, 000 likes, a number that's growing throughout the day.

"The marketing campaign is clearly connecting in a big way," said Phil Contrino of Boxoffice.com. "Moviegoers are hungry for alternatives to action tentpoles, and 'The Purge' will fulfill that need."

Cage is one performer who is never afraid to "go there," and he has a legion of fans who love seeing just how over-the-top he can be with each new movie.

One of those fans happens to be Ethan Hawke.

In a recent "Ask Me Anything" online chat on Reddit, 42-year-old Hawke was asked about actors he admired, and one of the first he mentioned was Cage. He even cited the appropriately extreme Cage fan page called One True God.

"I'm kind of obsessed with Nic Cage," Hawke admitted on Wednesday.
