Benedict Cumberbatch won't be the only one performing dastardly deeds in the "Star Trek" sequel. In fact, while Cumberbatch's character's identity remains a mystery, audiences will find another threat to the crew of the Enterprise to be very familiar.

The Klingons, arguably the most popular villains (and, later, allies to the Federation, but what's the fun in that?) in all of "Star Trek" canon, will make an appearance on the big screen for the first time in over ten years in "Star Trek Into Darkness" -- according to, somewhat surprisingly, the notoriously secretive "Trek" captain himself, J.J. Abrams.

First thing's first: Yes, Mark Hamill has been approached to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars: Episode VII." But as with anything else involving what's arguably the most highly anticipated sequel since, well, "Star Wars: Episode I" (and that was a prequel, mind you), nothing's official just yet.

"They're talking to us," said the 61-year-old Hamill in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. "George [Lucas] wanted to know whether we'd be interested. He did say that if we didn't want to do it, they wouldn't cast another actor in our parts -- they would write us out."

Kristen Stewart admitted she was nervous about playing the vampire version of Bella in the final "Twilight" film, but it ultimately didn't show on screen.

Yahoo! Movies has an exclusive clip from the forthcoming Blu-ray/DVD/digital download of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," available March 2 (see below). And it offers details on how Stewart made her transformation from human to the gorgeously undead.

Joel and Ethan Coen have found a home for their upcoming film on the Greenwich Village folk scene in the 1960s. It was announced Tuesday that CBS Films has acquired American distribution rights for "Inside Llewyn Davis," the first feature from the Coen Brothers since their hit remake of "True Grit" in 2010.

Inspired by the memoirs of folk singer Dave Van Ronk, who was nicknamed "the Mayor of MacDougal Street" and gave advice and a couch to sleep on to many aspiring singer-songwriters (including a young Bob Dylan), "Inside Llewyn Davis" follows the adventures of a young man who comes to New York in search of fame and respect, and has more than his share of trouble with both. The film stars Oscar Isaac in the title role, who was previously seen in "Drive," "The Bourne Legacy,"

and "Won't Back Down." Co-starring with Isaac are Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan as folk singing duo Jim & Jean, who suffer some turbulence when Jean has an affair with Llewyn.

  • Mike Coppola/Getty ImagesComedian Mike Birbiglia is set to continue his budding career as a filmmaker, following up last year's Sundance Audience Prize-winning “Sleepwalk With Me.” He is slated to write and star in an adaptation of his stand-up act “My Girlfriend's Boyfriend.” The film will “have a different name, but that's the jumping-off point,” Birbiglia told The Hollywood Reporter.

“Sleepwalk With Me,” also derived from Birbiglia's stand-up, led to a book by the same name and a segment on “This American Life.” The program’s host Ira Glass liked Birbiglia’s stuff so much that he co-produce the film. After making a splash at Sundance and elsewhere on the festival circuit, “Sleepwalk With Me” went on to make a number of best-of-2012 lists, with Film.com—which picked it as #11—saying “Veteran comedian/first-time director Mike Birbiglia does something that Billy Crystal, Woody Allen, and Judd Apatow were never able to quite pull off: Making a film that honestly portrays the life of a stand-up.”

  • Ben Affleck Aces his Acceptance Speeches

Photo: WireImageWhat can we expect Ben Affleck to say when he ascends the podium late on Sunday night to pick up his Best Picture Oscar? The “Argo” director, producer and star has been building toward this moment since his first acceptance speech and, while occasionally he stumbles into the pit of extreme humility where Anne Hathaway wallows, Affleck generally sets the right tone between aw-shucks and boo-rah.

The key to Affleck’s unflagging performance on the podium is that, as in “Argo,” he knows his audience and how to balance serious material and laughs rooted in human frailty. It doesn’t hurt that when he takes the stage on Oscar night, he is connected to almost every audience he stands before: actor, director, producer – and family man, too.

The Critics’ Choice Awards: Snarky is welcome

Ben seized the day at the Critics’ Choice Awards way back on January 10th to snipe at the Academy that overlooked him for best director kudos. He accepted the Critics’ Choice statuette with the good-natured quip

The man saved Gotham City from all sorts of evil freaks from the Rogues Gallery. But can he scale a really big mountain known for its epic wintry wrath?

"The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale is set to get physical and take on seemingly insurmountable odds once again as he bundles up for "Everest," a disaster/survival tale revolving around Earth's highest -- and, arguably, most lethal -- mountain.
