It looks like another mutant alum is heading back to Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters.
Director Bryan Singer has been gathering quite the ensemble cast for what sounds like the be-all, end-all "X-Men" movie, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." The roster is made up of brand-new recruits as well as several returning franchise players, though one in the latter camp that's been noticeably missing until now is Halle Berry, who played the weather-controlling Ororo Munroe/Storm in the first three "X" movies.
Last month, Singer revealed in an interview with MTV that he wasn't sure if Berry was going to be a part of the mega mutant reunion.
"I can't say. I don't know yet. And it's not necessarily a deal making aspect at all," Singer said. "I want to make sure it'll make sense. But I love working with her."
Now, it looks like Storm's involvement "makes sense" after all, as Berry herself has revealed in a recent interview with BlackTree TV that Storm is definitely making a return appearance in "Days of Future Past."

Okay ... maybe it's really not going to be about Buck Rogers?
For weeks now Brad Bird's upcoming live-action feature, "Tomorrowland," has had everyone buzzing about what it could be about, especially since it's named after one of the most popular Disney theme lands.

Directors Stanley Kubrick and Steven Spielberg (Photo: AP Images/Getty Images)
Steven Spielberg may the most famous filmmaker alive, but he has heroes just like anyone else. For proof, look no further than his next project, resurrecting a long-abandoned project by a great director he idolizes.
In an interview for French television broadcast over the weekend, Spielberg announced he’s working on a television miniseries on the life of the French leader Napoleon. The twist is that his source material will be a screenplay the late Stanley Kubrick wrote for a grand-scale biopic.

Oliwia Dabrowska, foreground, in 1993's 'Schindler's List' (Photo: Panos Pictures/Alamy)In 1993 she was just 3 years old. That's when Oliwia Dabrowska portrayed Red Genia in Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning "Schindler's List." Fast-forward 20 years later, and now Dabrowska has revealed she was quite distressed the first time she saw her historic role in the Holocaust drama -- one in which she is depicted as having died at the hands of Nazis.
Dabrowska famously played the girl in the red coat, the only splash of color in the otherwise black-and-white film. During a pivotal emotional turning point of the historical drama, a shocked and repelled Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) spots the girl's red coat. She appears to have been killed. Schindler is then spurred into action, to save more than 1,000 Jews from sure death in Nazi concentration camps.

There is no "The Legend Ends" when there's money to be made ... and "The Avengers" to challenge.
Hot on the heels of rumors that Warner Bros. has scrapped Will Beall's "Justice League" script and is starting the project over from scratch comes word that the film is still very much a high priority at the studio -- and that "from scratch" might mean bringing in a tried and true superhero duo to make it work in time to take on "The Avengers 2" in Summer 2015 (and, in theory, "Star Wars: Episode VII," though we all know that J.J. Abrams, who took four years to make a "Star Trek" sequel, won't have it ready by then, right?).

Robert Downey Jr. in 'Iron Man 3' (Photo: Marvel Studios/Walt Disney Pictures)
With two solo movies and a worldwide smash team-up flick under his belt as the armored Avenger, you’d think Robert Downey Jr. would have the whole being a superhero thing down pat. But even while shooting this summer’s “Iron Man 3,” there was still one part of the process that tested his endurance and his patience.
That would be what Downey likes to call his “irritation therapy.”

Ralph Macchio; Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi in 'The Karate Kid' (Photo: Getty Images/Everett Collection)
We don't mean to cause an existential crisis for any children of the '80s out there, but we felt it was worth noting that Daniel is now as old as Mr. Miyagi was upon the release of "The Karate Kid" (1984).
Yeah, a tweet made today by Roadside Attractions pointed out that Ralph Macchio is 51 ... and so was Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita, once upon a time, even though his infinite wit and wisdom made him seem like he was at least a thousand years old.

Tom Cruise in 'Oblivion' (Photo: Universal Pictures)
Tom Cruise is still a movie star, and a big one. Sure, "Jack Reacher," "Rock of Ages," and "Knight and Day" may not have lived up to box office expectations, but he's still the guy the studios call when they want to add name value to a potential blockbuster, and a new look at one of Cruise's bigger future projects has appeared on line, confirming he's still capable of his traditional big screen heroics.
The grand scale sci-fi/action pic "Oblivion," with Tom Cruise in the leading role, will be hitting theaters in April, and while two trailers have previously appeared -- the first in December, with an "international" trailer following in February -- a third that's just been released on line adds more details to an increasingly lively story.

Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska in 'Stoker' (Photo: Fox Searchlight)
If Wes Anderson and Edward Gorey got together to make "Shadow of a Doubt," that movie would be "Stoker." Of course, it wasn't directed by either Anderson or Gorey, but by auteur Park Chan-wook - the guy who famously had his protagonist devour a live octopus for his breakout, Cannes-winning hit movie "Old Boy." Park made a name for himself in his native South Korea with a series of brilliant and increasingly baroque movies about cruelty, lust, and vengeance that always successfully rode the line between spine-tingling suspense and overwrought insanity. For his first English-language movie - which stars Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, and Nicole Kidman - Park mines very similar territory, even if the script was penned by "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller.
