  • Paul Giamatti gears up for his dream job: The Rhino in ‘Spider-Man 2′

Paul Giamatti is reportedly in talks for a 'Spider-Man 2' villain rolePaul Giamatti is reportedly in talks for a 'Spider-Man 2' villain role (Rhino image courtesy of Marvel Comics)"Spider-Man" villain, The Rhino, is monstrous, muscle-bound and just plain mean. Quite the opposite from quiet little 'ol Paul Giamatti -- known for more cerebral, introverted roles like comic book creator Harvey Pekar in "American Splendor" (2003). Giamatti also doesn't really seem to be much like the Rhino when he is in human form -- Aleksei Sytsevich, a Russian mafia thug.

But Giamatti -- who has not only played a comic book writer but is also a fan of the medium -- has been on a bit of campaign to play one of his favorite villains from his childhood. The 45-year-old actor is in talks to take the role of the man-turned-creature, The Rhino, in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Spider-Man villain, who is known to ram his Rhino horns into cars and buildings, is made deviously powerful by an experimental exoskeleton.

  • Jennifer Lawrence’s mysterious wardrobe malfunction, examined

Jennifer Lawrence at Sunday night's SAG AwardsJennifer Lawrence at Sunday night's SAG Awards (Photo: Getty/TNT)Contrary to speculation, it appears Jennifer Lawrence's dress didn't necessarily rip at Sunday night's Screen Actor's Guild awards show in Los Angeles (above photo, right).

We did some due diligence and seem to have zeroed in on the issue -- though the case on this couture mystery can only be closed if Lawrence's dress tailor, stylist Rachel Zoe, Dior or Lawrence herself explain what really happened.

  • Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman in 'Identity Thief'Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman in 'Identity Thief' (Photo: Universal Pictures)Melissa McCarthy packs a whole lot of punches in her upcoming comedy with Jason Bateman, but she also saved a few real-life wallops for her co-star, both actors told Yahoo! Movies on Friday. And oh yeah, she thought Bateman was really dreamy during his stint on '80s sitcom "Silver Spoons."

In "Identity Thief," Bateman plays a mild mannered family man with a self proclaimed unisex first name: Sandy. Taking advantage of the gender neutrality of his moniker, McCarthy plays loud-living, shopaholic serial criminal Diana. And she has stolen his identity.

  • Amanda Seyfried’s ‘Lovelace’ transformation pays off

From her poofy brown, curly hair to her thick Bronx accent, Seyfried's bet on "Lovelace," which premiered on Tuesday at the Sundance Film Festival, has paid off... at least, initially. Shortly after it screened in Park City, Utah, the biopic was acquired for U.S. distribution by RADIUS - TWC for $3 million.

  • Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tony Danza re-team after 20 years

Joseph Gordon-Levitt (also inset from 'Angels in the Outfield') and Tony Danza pose at this year's Sundance Film FestivalJoseph Gordon-Levitt (also inset) and Tony Danza at this year's Sundance Film Festival (Photo: Everett/Getty)"Don Jon's Addiction" may mark Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut, but it does not mark his acting debut with co-star Tony Danza. The two first worked together 20 years ago in "Angels in the Outfield" -- a family-friendly, Disney baseball film that couldn't be further in theme than Levitt's tale about a man addicted to Internet porn.

Now screening at the Sundance Film Festival where it was bought by Relativity Media for $4 million, "Don Jon's Addiction" was written and directed by the "Looper" and "Dark Knight Rises" actor. And oh yeah, Gordon-Levitt also stars in his own film as Jon Martello, an iron-pumping city guy who must overcome his sex-crazed ways to find true love.

  • Hitchcock haterade is held back as ‘The Birds’ stars celebrate 50 years

Tippi Hedren and Veronica CartwrightTippi Hedren and Veronica Cartwright, then and now (Photo: Everett/Getty)It's been nearly 50 years since the release of Alfred Hitchcock's film about a Northern California town that becomes the target of flocks of attack birds. To mark the occasion, two of the stars of "The Birds," Tippi Hedren and Veronica Cartwright, appeared at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday night for a special screening of the half-century-old flick. And Hedren, known as the film's star but also as the target of Hitchcock's abuse, abstained from airing her complaints.

  • Ian Fleming biopic to include Bond girls’ real-life inspiration

Muriel Wright, left, and Annabelle WallisMuriel Wright, left, and Annabelle Wallis -- who will portray Wright (Photo: Courtesy of Marxist Library/Getty Images)James Bond creator Ian Fleming met young Muriel Wright at a posh Austrian ski resort in 1935, marking the beginning of their long term affair. Fleming is said to have been taken by Wright's looks -- and not much else.

    Sound familiar?

Understandably, many have speculated that Wright was the inspiration for Fleming's rather one-dimensional, devastatingly gorgeous female characters who served as Bond's usually-fleeting love interests.

  • More evidence Lindsay Lohan film ‘The Canyons’ is a train wreck

'The Canyons' with Lindsay Lohan and James Deen'The Canyons' in post-production (Photo is from Facebook.com/TheCanyonsFilm)What got off to a rocky start met with dubious, watchful eyes is now meeting the general consensus of low expectations.

Indie flick "The Canyons," starring Lindsay Lohan and porn star James Deen (yes, two Es), is quickly becoming the brunt of Internet jokes.

A first clip of the ill-fated flick -- a seemingly dark spoof on former MTV reality show "The Hills" -- proliferated on the web in recent days, garnering jeers.

In the nearly-three-minute monstrosity, a confused and disheveled Lohan (as Tara) awakens in a sun-filled, modern hillside Southern California mansion and begins looking for her cell phone. The entire sequence is a display of poor acting and less than zero suspense.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger chats with fans, shares role regret, confirms ad libs

Schwarzenegger wrote this note to his fans on Tuesday. (Photo: Getty Images/Arnold Schwarzenegger via iPad/Imgur)Arnold Schwarzenegger took fan questions on Tuesday on Reddit in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) forum, and the former Governator-slash-Terminator opened up on an array of topics from the sentimental to the asinine. Yes, the 65-year-old action star even said he would fight a duck.

One of the biggest revelations from Ah-nold: He regrets passing on 1996 Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage film "The Rock." (Cage took the role that was originally offered to him.)

Salacious- asked, "What role do you most regret turning down?" The star of "The Last Stand" (in theaters this weekend) answered: "I most regret not doing The Rock. I love the movie, and it turned out well. When it was offered to me there was only an 80 page script with a lot of handwriting and scribbles and it didn't seem fully baked. But they obviously did a fantastic job."
