The official trailer for "The Wolverine" has been unleashed in all its berzerker rage.

With the new trailer comes enticing looks at some characters that many Marvel fans know and love, including the deadly Viper (who sports a snake-like tongue in this incarnation), the even deadlier Yukio (who makes short work of a few bar patrons and at least one patron's drink) and, of course, the deadliest of them all: the heavily armored (and rather tall) Silver Samurai.

  • Marvel's Phase Three: A Robert Downey Jr.-Less 'Iron Man 4'?

Robert Downey Jr. as 'Iron Man'Is Robert Downey Jr. the only man who will ever play Iron Man? Marvel says 'no.' (Photo: Paramount Pictures)As "Iron Man 3" continues to rake in the cash (it's surpassed the $1 billion mark worldwide and counting), everyone's abuzz about "Iron Man 4." Such an endeavor would seem like a no-brainer for Marvel, and the studio is completely dedicated to doing it ... whether Robert Downey Jr. is on board or not.

It's no secret that Downey Jr. has expressed reservations about returning for another stand-alone Tony Stark adventure, especially considering that it wouldn't happen until well after "The Avengers 2," which doesn't hit theaters until May 2015.

"I'd go start another one tomorrow, but it’s not tomorrow,” Downey told Entertainment Weekly, with

We've pitted 32 of the most successful and beloved summer movies against each other. And now you get to decide which is your favorite. After four rounds of voting, only one movie will be left standing. Which title will be declared the greatest summer movie of all time?

    The Sixth Sense

When it comes to visions of the afterlife, the majority preferred the freaky-deaky to the romantic as Haley Joel Osment's ability to see dead people was deemed more impressive than the clay-slingin' smoochy-smoochy of "Ghost." Now we'll see how Bruce Willis and his little pal do against the really big lizards of "Jurassic Park," which specialize in making dead people.

    Jurassic Park

Dinosaurs still rule the Earth -- or at least the summer movie season -- as "Jurassic Park" emerged the victor in a fairly close race against "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the

    Shrek

The big green ogre beat out the big-eared accused murderer of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" as "Shrek" proved that a mix of live-action and animation can't quite beat ... uh, just animation by itself. Now, "Shrek" will embark on his most perilous quest to date as he takes on one of the grandmasters of summer movie-dom: Christopher Nolan's bar-raising, game-changing "The Dark Knight."

    The Dark Knight

It appears everyone prefers the new Bat to the old Bat as "The Dark Knight" easily surpassed Tim Burton's "Batman" for the title of Caped Crusader of Choice. Now we'll see if Christian Read More »from 'Shrek' vs. 'The Dark Knight': Vote for the Greatest Summer Movie Ever

    The Bourne Identity

It was neck-and-neck for almost the entire week, but it appears the majority ultimately prefers the exploits of an on-the-run amnesiac secret agent to the high-flying dogfighting skills of hotshot Naval pilots as "The Bourne Identity" beat "Top Gun" by the ever-so-slightest margin. Now, Jason Bourne will see if high-stakes spy games are more enticing than swashbuckling archaeology as he accepts the mission of attempting to top "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

    Back to the Future

The tricked-out robots in disguise of "Transformers" couldn't outrun a time-traveling DeLorean as "Back to the Future" raced ahead of Michael Bay's 21st century live-action resurrection of the beloved '80s franchise. Now, it's Science vs. Magic as Marty McFly and Doc Brown prepare to take on the be-all, end-all adventure of the Boy Who Lived.

    Marvel's The Avengers

When it comes to saving the Earth from some outer space menace, Marvel's superhero mashup team left the ragtag oil drillers of "Armageddon" in the dust -- a lot of dust, actually. Now, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor and Scarlett Johansson (she just plays herself, right?) will take on a more humble kind of American hero, one who's always quick to remind us that life is like a box of chocolates.
